Treatment For Alcoholism & Drug Addiction

A medical detoxification is essential in the beginning of recovery because without medical assistance and supervision, it can be extremely unpleasant and difficult to get off all substances.

After a medical detox, you can begin to receive essential care and treatment at an inpatient rehab center for underlying problems that deserve to be addressed. The reality is that drugs and alcohol are only symptoms of bigger problems, which is exactly why it is imperative to treat these core issues at an alcohol and drug rehab program. At an inpatient drug rehab, you will be introduced to and develop tools to continue combating your addiction.

A medical detox and an inpatient rehab can also be beneficial for alcoholics and drug addicts because it provides a safe environment for them to receive the help they truly need.

Being in an inpatient facility for the treatment of addiction allows for both alcoholics and addicts to be removed from their substances long enough to begin working on themselves from the inside, out. This is a critical component to recovering from addiction because it is beneficial to be taken away from environments where substance use and triggers may have been excessive or where the individuals were most active in their addiction.

Getting Treatment Without Insurance

There are low-cost, and even free, treatment programs for those who do not have insurance. Many states provide funding for rehab services that can be accessed by those with no insurance or income. There are also scholarships that may be available at individual treatment facilities. Some facilities may be open to establishing a payment plan that allows you to pay off your treatment over time. In addition, there are certain organizations that provide assistance to those who have no insurance but are seeking alcohol or drug addiction rehab.

Not having insurance does not mean you cannot obtain treatment for substance abuse.

What Do I Need To Know About Addiction Treatment

Addiction treatment plays a critical role in restoring the mental and physical health of both alcoholics and addicts. Alcoholism and drug addiction are both classified as diseases. In fact, addiction is described as a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory, and related circuitry by the American Society of Addiction Medicine .

Without proper addiction treatment, an addiction to alcohol and drugs can make life unmanageable and even result in fatal consequences. The unfortunate reality is that there is no cure for addiction, but there is effective treatment available, which can begin at our Treatment Programs with a medical detox and inpatient drug rehab program.

By receiving critical addiction treatment at a reputable facility, you can finally get off all substances and work on building tools to handle problems more effectively without the use of drugs or alcohol. While an addict or alcoholic may be used to turning to alcohol and drugs as a temporary solution to their problems, the reality is that self-medicating with substances is not effective, especially in the long-run.

During treatment at an inpatient rehab, alcoholics and addicts can address and transform negative behaviors and thinking patterns by developing healthier coping mechanisms.
