  • Womenâs Recovery Program: CHC Addiction Services has been providing specialized womenâs programming since 1990. The program focuses on gender-specific, trauma-informed care and seeks to eliminate barriers to recovery that often affect women, including lack of transportation and child-care. The program also highlights the stigma of substance use in an effort to treat both substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Residential Programs: Residential treatment is the highest level of care for substance use disorders. The need for residential treatment is determined after looking at an assessment of needs. Staff works with potential patients to complete the intake process and insurance companies to complete the necessary steps for entering treatment.

    < About Chc Foundation

The CHC Foundation was established in 1985 to support the activities and goals of CHC Addiction Services. Since then, CHCF has not only supported CHC, but partnered with them to obtain many grants and to provide programming in Summit County and surrounding areas.

Over the past 20 years, CHCF has raised millions through public fundraisers and community development. These fundraisers have not only supplemented many CHC programs, but brought attention to many issues facing Summit County residents regarding substance abuse, addiction, recovery and housing.

Today, CHCF has moved into business partnerships with CHC, including land ownership, property rentals and housing development and construction. This partnership has seen the formation of the Ohio Multi-County Development Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the CHC Foundation, that concentrates on providing housing for specific populations in a nine county radius.

Throughout the years, CHCF has grown with CHC by providing support and funding to help supplement new and innovative grants, housing and other programming for the people of Summit County and its surrounding areas. In 2017, CHCF provided over $200,000 for programming, supplies and building maintenance.

Head to our Donate page to help CHCF meet its goal.

For Households with more than 8 persons, add $4,480 for each additional person. *Alaska and Hawaii have different rates for HUD federal poverty guidelines. These numbers above represent 100% of the Federal Poverty Rate. In order to get reduced or free treatment from some substance abuse centers, they use a sliding fee scale based on your income. When they use a sliding fee scale, the 100% rate can be different than 100%. In those cases, using for example a 200% federal poverty level, you will only need double the 100% number listed above to 200%.

Chc Addiction Services Akron Oh Employee Reviews

There is no training when you start and you are expected to work within several different job descriptions. If you do not get accepted into the clique then you will be ignored and not able to complete any licensing required expectations. Supervisors showed up 20 min late on average and do not give you the security or guidance you request. If you express any personal business or if anything important pertains to you the supervisors tell everything to their subordinates and do not protect client information from external personnel or others who have nothing to do with the client’s care.

They place people in leadership roles with no leadership training or abilities. However, there were also some very good and caring people that were employed there.

If u like getting treated like you are worthless then you should apply. The supervisors are horrible and talk about all the workers they think they are way above you and will do anything they can to make working there miserable

While not a perfect place to work, it is better than a lot of other places I’ve worked. There is a sense of purpose with helping those that are struggling. While the work can be hard at times, management seems to care, and they provide a lot of support.During COVID the organization went to great lengths to keep the workers safe. All in all, I am happy and proud of the time I have spent with this company.

These facilities are run by qualified mental health professionals and offer services and treatments that may include medical detox, support groups, one-to-one therapy sessions, and therapeutic activities. A patient’s addiction treatment plan will be customized according to severity, potential co-occurring mental health disorders, and the individual’s personal needs. A rehab center is usually an inpatient or residential facility that may also offer outpatient services.

With You Every Step Of The Way

We help you conquer addiction through our full-circle approach.

I have been volunteering at CHC with Project PANDA since the fall of 2003 in a few different roles but for the most of that as the Youth Staff Coordinator. As the YS Coordinator I have grown professionally and personally. Professionally I have learned more logistical skills, working with factors outside of the main project for a successful out come and AToD knowledge. I have grown personally by improving my leadership skills, my confidence and self regulation. I have had a wonderful experience volunteering at CHC.
