If I Work Really Hard Can I Finish A Christian Treatment Program Faster
Recovery isnt like most other tasks for which the harder you work, the quicker you can get finished. Its always a good idea to give your recovery 100 percent, but that wont allow you to, for example, complete a 90-day program in half the time. If you enroll in a 90-day program, youll finish that program in 90 days no matter how hard you work. But again, its always a good idea to try your best as itll mean having a better chance of achieving indefinite sobriety.
Is A Christian Inpatient Program Out Of The Question If Im Trying To Keep My Job
This is a very common misconception. Many people in need of treatment assume that inpatient treatment isnt an option because it would require an extended absence from work that they wouldnt want to explain. However, there are options available that can help in most instances. For instance, most major companies offer employee assistance programs , which allow employees to take a leave of absence while they complete a treatment program without their direct bosses or supervisors being the wiser.
Theres also the Family and Medical Leave Act , which is a legislation that gives employees the right to take an unpaid leave of absence to take care of family or personal emergencies. Moreover, theres the possibility of using vacation time to go to rehab as well as executive rehab centers, which offer inpatient programs that allow patients to remain a presence at work through the use of the Internet and webcams.

Does Faith Based Rehab Work
People often wonder about the success rate for faith-based rehabs compared to secular rehabs. While the question may seem simple, the answer actually turns out to be quite complex. This is for a number of reasons including the reliability of measurements, and other study-related factors, but also because it is difficult to decide how to define a successful outcome.
With that said, research does suggest that clients who experience a spiritual awakening during treatment are significantly more likely to remain abstinent for at least 1 year after leaving treatment.
Additionally, it is well documented that community and belonging are important to long-term recovery. In other words, having a network of support in place after leaving treatment significantly improves a persons chance of maintaining their sobriety. A benefit of Christian rehab programs is that clients are introduced to the fellowship of the church, which provides an additional source of support.

Holistic Approaches To Addiction Treatment
Some treatments dont favor any particular religion and base their approach on spirituality in general. A holistic approach to healing includes the healing of the whole self: mind, body, and spirit. A faith-based treatment program may be in a Catholic rehabilitation center and include prayer and Christian therapy groups. But it may also focus on non-denominational healing of the spirit through mindfulness techniques like meditation, Yoga, or visualization techniques that help patients express their emotions in creative and healthy ways. Through expressive therapies such as art or music therapy, patients can discover productive ways to cope with their issues.11

Studies On Faith Based Rehab Treatment
For many people, the idea of going to treatment for addiction is daunting. Hearing stories about the difficulty of detoxification and withdrawal symptoms, while also facing the intense uncertainty of recovery, can sometimes evoke fear and anxiety.
For these individuals, maintaining a religious practice and choosing a faith-based or spiritual-based treatment program may resonate as appealing and comforting. Similar belief systems may also make it easier for people to bond with others in a new environment, such as an inpatient drug rehab.
One study found that a significant majority of participants credited spirituality for providing them with an unshakeable feeling of strength. This strength applied to their perceived ability to recover from drugs, as well as their sense of safety and protection during each phase of recovery.1
Another study, examining the role of spirituality and religion in the cases of several recovering addicts, found that maintaining a higher power in conjunction with other positive factors significantly contributed to their overall satisfaction with their lives.2
The Best Christian Rehab For Alcohol Addiction
More Americans than ever are struggling with alcohol addiction. In a 2015 study from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, researchers found that over15 million adults suffered from alcohol use disorder. Even worse, many of these individuals had tried to quit drinking and attended rehab without any long-term results. Most modern alcohol and drug rehab centers provide evidence-based treatment. However, for some individuals, this isnt enough. They need something more, specifically, a connection to God. Faith-based treatment programs provide a spiritual foundation alongside clinical care to help people recover from addiction in mind, body, and soul. To find the best Christian rehab center for alcohol, you should look out for these qualities.

Negative Effects On Family Life
The family members of a Christian with addiction will likely notice that the individual has become more withdrawn. After becoming addicted, a person may even begin to avoid loved ones for fear that they may recognize the chemical dependency in some way. Shutting out ones family may alert them to the presence of a problem, but the idea is that they wont be able to determine what the problem actually is. When asked probing questions, the individual is quick to become defensive and angry, often deflecting instead of actually answering any of the questions.

What Are The Benefits Of Christian Addiction Treatment
At Mirror Lake Recovery Center, we recognize and appreciate that each individual brings his or her own experiences, beliefs, and perspectives to the treatment environment. We honor the unique characteristics of each person who chooses to heal with us, and we make every effort to ensure that the treatment experience acknowledges these characteristics when appropriate.
We understand that, in order to be most effective, our programming must connect with our clients not only while they are residing at our center, but also when they transition to their next placement or return home. One of the best ways to facilitate this connection is to develop treatment programs that reflect the clients faith and value system. We have found that individuals who rely on their faith during their time in treatment often flourish when provided with the opportunity to engage in a treatment program that not only encourages that sense of faith, but helps it to grow.
For these reasons, we are proud to offer the Re:New Christian Program, an optional faith-based treatment track that is specifically designed for clients who desire to incorporate elements of their Christian faith into their treatment and recovery. The Re:New Christian Program is a nondenominational program that is led by a Christian counselor who helps clients to develop and strengthen their faith throughout their time at our treatment center.

How Does Valiant Recovery Provide Christian Faith Based Recovery When Dealing With Addiction
Christ oriented individualized one on one counselling: Individualized counselling is the backbone of our programming at Valiant Recovery. Valiant provides up to 48 individual private sessions per month. That being said the best counselling comes from someone that truly connects with empathetic listening and their heart is in the right place. Our counselling matches the psycho-educational evidence based addiction recovery model with a faith centered approach of prayer and deliverance.
Christian centered group work: Our group work has a Christian orientation. It is important in the recovery process for the client to make connections with their peers and begin to understand the consequences of their addiction. It is also a powerful tool to find identification and similarities with others, as an important element for gaining insight into self. With addiction, people often say they feel alone and isolated and that no one else can feel this bad. Group therapy is there so they begin to know that they are not alone in this battle. Adding the component of God to group work leads to more vulnerability, deeper relationships with others and a deeper relationship with self.
Morning Reflections and Affirmations: Starting the day calmly and in gratitude and reflection is a powerful way to get the healing power of prayer to work for you. You will be asked to read aloud a daily reflection and to reflect on how it may show insight in your life.

Christian Intensive Outpatient Program
Some addictions are less severe than others. While that doesnt make them much less dangerous or destructive, it can potentially mean that such an addiction wouldnt require treatment of inpatient-level intensity. For addicted Christians who are otherwise in good physical health, dont struggle with a comorbid disorder, and have a safe, supportive, temptation-free home environment, a Christian intensive outpatient program could be a great recovery option.
An intensive outpatient program is a small step down from partial hospitalization in terms of treatment intensity. Like Christian inpatient and partial hospitalization care, Christian intensive outpatient programs incorporate scripture and Christian ideals into the traditional, clinical addiction treatment curriculum.
This type of treatment program usually takes place three or five days per week for approximately four hours each day. As such, intensive outpatient programs for Christians represent the most flexible treatment option that offers more than basic-level treatment intensity. In fact, many Christian rehabs will coordinate a patients intensive outpatient treatments around their work schedule or familial obligations.
