” Im truly grateful I had the chance to be a part of Discovery Institute and had the counseling Ive had since coming here. ”

“Although it was a short stay at Discovery, I feel I got a lot out of meetings, commitments, feed back, and advice from my family.”

My experience here at Discovery Institute has been very valuable during my 90 day stay. I have learned more about myself and the importance of applying the tools Discovery has taught me once I leave. Without the treatment I received here it would have been much more difficult to uncover these fears I am now overcomingWith the help of caring counselors, I was challenged to work on some areas I struggled with. I want to the my counselor for caring about my overall welfare. I have learned a lot from her. She never gave up on me but instead stuck by me until the end because she believed in me. Thank you Discovery Institute for your help. I am forever grateful and will keep all the staff and peers in my prayers and heart.

Npi Validation Check Digit Calculation

The following table explains the step by step NPI number validation process using the ISO standard Luhn algorithm.

Start with the original NPI number, the last digit is the check digit and is not used in the calculation.
1
Step 1: Double the value of the alternate digits, beginning with the rightmost digit.
2 2 8
Step 2: Add all the doubled and unaffected individual digits from step 1 plus the constant number 24.
2 + 8 + 6 + 1 + 6 + 6 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 8 + 24 = 66
Step 3: Subtract the total obtained in step 2 from the next higher number ending in zero, the result is the check digit.
70 – 66 = 4 4

The NPI number 1831366244 is valid because the calculated check digit 4 using the Luhn validation algorithm matches the last digit of the original NPI number.

Discovery Institute Opens New Detox Unit In Marlboro

With substance abuse and opiate addiction in particular on the rise amid todays post-war environment and challenging economy, theres an astronomical need for our services, but so many facilities are filled and short of room, said Steve Hornik, board president of Discovery Institute, which functioned inside of Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital for 32 years before moving to its own 116-bed stand-alone facility in 2007.

We dont just detox people but try to show them a better way of life without drug or alcohol use we work to help point them in the right direction, he added.

With the support of a high-quality team of clinicians and counselors that includes Dr. Jeffrey A. Berman Howard Silverman, Ph.D. Denise Daley, B.S.N., R.N. and others, Discovery Institute has been treating people with addictions since 1970 using behavioral healthcare approaches that have been expanded and modified over the years to incorporate best practices and treat each person as an individual, said Discovery House Chief Operating Officer Greg Saville.
